About Us
"Always inspired by the use of texture, color and shape and how they relate to my vision of a transformation into the human form and daily life. Conveying ideas while interjecting the whimsical, becomes evident in my art. Attention to detail and materials, is the undefinable sense of story seen in my clothing. The poetry of color, the rhythm of texture and line within textile, is instrumental in what makes Flower in the Snow what it is. Working on my craft daily, using the treasures I collected over time, combined with my sense of design and knowledge of sewing, it is where Flower in the Snow is defined.
As a child sitting next to my grandmother, I began to understand the art of sewing. Surrounded by wonderful fabrics, great textures, not to mention the finest of trims and laces. It was the subtle hand of the way it felt and array in patterns and colors, that drove my desire for fashion. The seed had been planted.
Ever evolving from that moment, my creations are now inspired by the passions I cherished as a child.
Unfortunately, much of what I do has become a lost craft.
